In short: Prune is a 4★ Anemo support who attacks off-field and boosts the team's damage. Her buff scales with her own ATK, so her build is almost entirely ATK, and weapons are chosen for high base ATK.
How she plays: her Skill, Ring-A-Ding-Ding! Hexhunter Chime, deals Anemo damage. If it triggers Swirl, for 6 seconds it changes so that the Banehunter Oathhammer takes on the swirled element and Prune knocks it into enemies. Her Burst, The Bell Tolls! The Hunt Is On!, summons a bell that follows the active character and deals AoE Anemo damage. When the bell triggers Swirl, a hammer with that element appears next to the enemy.
The main buff: after an infused hammer hits, allies get a damage bonus of 0.025% for every point of Prune's ATK above 2000. The higher her ATK, the stronger the buff — so ATK goes on both main stats and substats, and Energy Recharge only as needed.
Stats: ATK as high as possible; the buff only starts working above 2000. Get just enough Energy Recharge for her Burst to be ready every rotation.
Partners: she shines most in Hexerei teams: Varka and Venti trigger Swirl and get her buff, Nicole adds ATK, Durin attacks off-field. Outside Hexerei Prune works as a regular Anemo sub DPS — for example with Clorinde or Xiao.
Constellations: C2 is the recommended stop: Prune gains ATK during her Burst, so the team buff grows. C1 restores energy, C4 makes the hammer bounce. C6 is the best: the bell lasts 4 seconds longer, and allies gain ATK after triggering reactions.
Weaknesses: without Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo to swirl, her kit barely works. Her buff is weaker than 5★ supports', and her full potential needs constellations.

Is it worth pulling team damage gain, gcsim simulation
How much the whole team's damage grows compared to C0 with Favonius Codex (R5). Gains are cumulative: C2 includes C1.
How we calculated
The team comes from the open gcsim simulation database — the one closest to the teams in this guide. Only this character was changed: constellation and weapon. Teammates, artifact sets and rotation stay as in the original simulation; the whole team's substats are optimized to KQM standards separately for each weapon. C0 with Favonius Codex: 118,834 damage per second.
The gain depends on the team and investment: treat it as a guideline, not an exact number for your account. Original simulation · gcsim 4eda9fc, 2026-10-17

The Hunt Is On!**, after the Witchlure Bell in Hunter-Seeker mode deals DMG to an opponent, if this DMG triggers Swirl or Stellar Swirl in an opponent, it will also summon a **Banehunter Oathhammer** that will deal 150% of Prune's ATK as DMG to them, with the DMG Type matching the Elemental Conversion from the Swirl or Stellar Swirl. This DMG is considered Elemental Burst DMG.
Tolling Synchronicity
After Prune hits an opponent with the **Banehunter Oathhammer** that has undergone Elemental Conversion, other nearby party members will gain the Tolling Rally effect for 5s: When Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks, or Elemental Skills and Bursts deal DMG to opponents, that attack's DMG will be increased based on the portion of Prune's ATK in excess of 2,000 when they become affected by the Tolling Rally effect. Every excess ATK point increases that instance of DMG by 0.025%, up to a total of 50% max.
